| The Children's Home Society Family Visitation Center offers a safe, neutral, child friendly environment for supervised court ordered visitations for children separated from a parent or other family member.
The Family Visitation Center's purpose is to assist in the family reunification process by providing a safe, structured visitation program, which allows children to maintain or develop relationships with their family members. The Family Visitation Center expedites family reunification and prevents children from languishing in the dependency care system.
The Family Visitation Center began providing safe, neutral space for visitation in May of 1996. In October 1997, services were expanded to include services for families torn apart by domestic violence. The Family Visitation Center programs are currently supported by the Juvenile Dependency Court, Family Law Court, and the Domestic Violence Court. |
