Anna is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). She is a National Certified Counselor as well as a Board Certified Professional Counselor. Additionally, Anna holds an Illinois Child Welfare License.
Anna has been working with families since 1997. She is a proud graduate of Northeastern Illinois University's Family Counseling Program, a master's level counselor education program accredited by CACREP.
Anna is available to provide family, couple, and individual counseling to individuals ages 4 years and older. Play therapy is used entirely or partially with children, depending on their age and what they most respond to. Play therapy sessions can include art therapy and biblio-therapy.
Anna does not use any one "method" exclusively. An effective counselor caters her approach to the client rather than trying to get the client to conform to a particular "technique". Nevertheless, Anna tends to lean more towards a solution-focused, strength-based approach in her work with clients.
This frame work lends itself quite well to use for helping individuals work through a variety of issues that trouble them. Additionally, solution-focused therapy gives you the most bang for your buck, a benefit appreciated by most these days, whether or not insurance is being used to pay for services. |
