| I understand that having court ordered supervised visitation can be difficult for families; and visits with children by estranged or former spouses can impose worries and strains under even the best of circumstances. I acknowledge that these services are often required when a family is going through its most troubling times and recognize the pain and difficulty that your family may be going through.
My service allows the non-custodial parent to have an opportunity for positive contact with the child in a safe, calm, non-challenging environment. It also allows the custodial parent the reassurance that their child's physical and emotional well being is maintained.
I am completely neutral, maintaining appropriate boundaries while blending in with the group on visits to avoid making the child or parent feel uncomfortable. My primary concern is the physical and emotional safety of the child. During the visits, I will observe and document interactions between the child and parent in an unbiased, objective and neutral manner and, upon request, produce a court report.
Regardless of the issues that bring you to monitored visitation, you can rest assured that your child's well being is my primary focus.
I am trained in accordance with the Supervised Visitation Standards and Guidelines as set forth in the 2013 California Rules of Court 5.20 Uniform Standards of Practice for Providers of Supervised Visitation and California Family Code 3205.5. Background clearance by the Department of Justice, the FBI, and Live Scan fingerprinted. I have over 20 years of experience working with children, teenagers and their parents in a variety of settings, including the medical field. |
