| Located in the serene 250 acre Joe Palaia Park in Ocean Township, Monmouth County, the Healing Hearts program provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for visitation.
Healing Hearts offers an array of services appropriate for the individual needs of each family, ranging from supervised exchange (our office serves as a neutral location for visitation pick-up and drop-off) to educational visitation (in which a counselor coaches parents regarding new skills with their children).
Healing Hearts will provide an orientation session for all clients to assist them in understanding the visitation arrangements and their respective roles in visitation.
In addition to visitation supervision, Healing Hearts provides individual counseling or group counseling for both custodial and non-custodial parents as well as group counseling for children and adolescents.
A room specifically designed for young children and their parents is equipped with developmentally appropriate toys and games for children of all ages.
A second visitation room is suitable for older children and adolescents. Both rooms are equipped with closed circuit video monitoring in order to provide for unobtrusive observation.
Visitation hours are scheduled in the daytime, evening or weekends upon availability. Orientation services and counseling services are by appointment.
Referrals
Referrals to Healing Hears can be made by the Court or the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, DCP&P (formerly the Division of Youth and Family Services, DYFS). |
