| We have designed the Center to provide a safe setting for children and their parents. This includes the way the site is set up and the policies and procedures we have developed. We meet with each parent for intake, to discuss the unique needs of your family for safety and comfort. We will create a customized plan for your family called the “Individual Family Plan” or “IFP.”
In your IFP we will address issues that commonly come up in relation to supervised visits, and your preferences for how they will be handled at this Center. We will also clarify and explain policies and procedures that we have in place, some of which may not be customized to each family.
Trained staff committed to getting to know you and the unique needs of your family. Our staff are carefully selected for their experience in working with families, and for their professional and caring attitudes. Staff are trained to observe with awareness of family dynamics to allow as much interaction between parents and children as possible.
Staff will check in regularly with parents and children before and after visits to address issues that may surface as a result of the visits. This check-in provides staff with information to continuously improve the comfort and success of the visits.
Affordable services
Our services for families with a history of domestic violence are offered according to a sliding fee scale, based on the income of the paying parent. There is no charge to a parent identified as a victim of domestic violence. Services for families who are in supervised parenting time but do not have a history of domestic violence are offered according to a fee schedule based on family income.
Getting started
The first step after being referred to TFCC is to call the Center to set up an appointment for intake. Each parent needs to set up his or her own intake, which will take approximately an hour and a half.
We ask parents to call as soon as possible to set up the intake, so that there is no unnecessary delay for children in seeing their parents. We must have intakes for both parents before visits can begin.
Once intakes are completed and TFCC confirms that we can serve your family’s needs, we will schedule an orientation session for the children, and the first visit. We will make every effort to accommodate the scheduling needs of each family.
