Rules and boundaries are important facets of life and an astute monitor in conscious of the administration of those boundaries. The monitor is responsible for not only the childs safety, but for ensuring that everyone involved in is compliance. By advising the child of what to expect before the visit, there is a decrease in anxiety and the child is able to more actively participate in the visit.
