| We incorporated another agency for our large team of professional supervisors to provide the regular supervised visitation and supervised exchanges (see Access Family Services Inc. on accessfamily.ca)
Design Care now only provides specialized supervision services:
1. SUPPORTED Supervised Visitation ($90/hr) A Master's degree counsellor provides the supervision and helps children overcome emotional blocks (e.g. separation anxiety, anger with the parent, resistance to visits). The counselor also helps parents understand children's specific needs and develop the parenting skills they need.
2. THERAPEUTIC Supervised Visitation ($90-120/hr). This involves conjoint parent-child therapy conducted by a Master's degree counsellor. Attachment therapy is also included here.
3. ASSESSMENT and expert reports including parenting capacity, child's view, recommendation of support services, etc. This is a step down from Section 211, at about 10% of the cost. |
