| The Family Connection Center (TFCC) provides supervised parenting time between children and their non-custodial parents in a safe, neutral environment with trained observers. This program allows children to maintain or re-establish relationships with their non-custodial parent.
TFCC also schedules supervised exchanges that offer a safe, neutral site for the exchange of children between parents at the beginning and end of parenting times.
Policies and procedures have been designed to promote safety for all parties involved. During intakes, staff will discuss the unique needs of each famliy, and will develop an Individual Family Plan (IFP).
IFPs address issues that commonly come up in relation to supervised visits, and outline how they will be handled at TFCC.
During intakes, staff will clarify and explain policies and procedures that are in place, some of which may not be customized to each family.
The first step is to call The Family Connection Center to set up an appointment for intake. Each parent is expected to set up his or her own intake, which will take approximately an hour and a half.
Parents are encouraged to call as soon as possible to set up the intake, so that there is no unnecessary delay for children in seeing their parents.
Intakes must be completed for both parents before visits can begin. Once intakes are completed and TFCC confirms that your family's needs can be served, staff will schedule an orientation session for the children and the first visit.
Staff will make every effort to accommodate the scheduling needs of each family. |
