Provider Notes:
| Centre York Centre is a Supervised Access Centre which offers separated and divorced families experiencing difficulties, a safe setting where visits and exchanges can take place without the children witnessing conflict. Non-profit organization which provides a safe, neutral, child-focused environment where visits and exchanges can take place.
Supervised Visits:
A supervised visit takes place at the Centre under the constant supervision of access workers. Staggered drop off and pick up times are in place so that contact between the custodial and non-custodial parent does not occur. Length and frequency of visits are set out in the Court Order or the Mutual Agreement and are usually no longer than 2 hours at a time.
Monitored Exchanges:
A monitored exchange is when the child(ren) is/are dropped off by one party and picked up by the other party. The Centre provides a place where the child(ren) can go from one parent to the other safely. Staggered drop off and pick up times are in place so that contact between the custodial and non-custodial parent does not occur. |
