Provider Notes: Since 1996, I have worked in and provided various social services in the local community to improve the quality of education, services, and training for my adult students, parents, and guardians regarding the long-term impact of early childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect.

I have an A.A. in Early Childhood Education, a B.A. in Journalism, a graduate degree in Education, a Child Development Program Director Permit, and three adult teaching credentials.

I've also written two books on Amazon, one is entitled "Children of Substance," which details brain development and other areas of a child's whole being is impacted by the early years of development and interactions with "caregivers."

I also started the first child care training program in Watts, a very impoverished area in South Central L.A. My workforce training program focused on helping the victims of ACEs to understand that, at some point, this cycle of trauma must be stopped.

For many of my graduates of this and other programs, which I have facilitated (1996-present). In 2012, I started my own business, ONE WIND FOR CHILDREN, to expand my scope of services to include providing support to the courts for people who needed assistance navigating personal custodial difficulties.

In addition to my work as a certified small, local business (in L.A. and surrounding counties), I have continued over the past several years to provide support, mentorship, encouragement, and dedication to graduates of my workforce training programs.

I want them to know that they are loved, cherished, and valued as human beings. Many of today's so-called "problems" are a direct result of early childhood trauma.

Armed with this commitment, which has always been my personal focus, I have always been deeply impacted by my own childhood experiences, which include the traumas of abuse, neglect, and family violence. It is for this reason that I believe in "service."

My grandmother always taught us that. My students have graduated from my training programs, completed their own personal goals (e.g. graduate from high school, attend college, get their own housing, get off of welfare, go to counseling, and become the best parents they can be).

They have also realized - -over time and healing on their own journeys - - that NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH as children, they CAN create a better future for themselves and their growing and developing children.

I am absolutely passionate about helping people to help themselves to be "better." I have nothing less to give.
